Job summary

You will lead root cause investigations, support deviations/waivers, PPAP documentation, supplier quality management, and internal audits, aiming to improve processes, reduce risk, and maintain ISO9001/AS9100 standards across programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality or related field or minimum 5 years of progressive experience working in a comparable capacity.
• Solid working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9102, and AS9100 standards.
• Advance knowledge of GD& T and experience with corrective action methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Primary quality contact with customer quality organizations for assigned programs, customers, or products.
• Evaluate and investigate customer concerns and address issues with limited supervision.
• Respond to customer requests for quality data and information in a timely manner.
• Develop, submit, and track deviations/waivers stemming from nonconforming materials.
• Review quotes and contracts for quality requirements and ensure proper communication to internal departments.
• Review customer quality ratings and report trends to management with corrective actions.
• Coordinate and sponsor customer-driven continuous improvement programs.
• Coordinate delegated supplier quality requirements and prepare program-specific quality plans.
• Lead teams in root-cause analysis and corrective actions; communicate progress to customers.
• Attain Designated Quality Representative (DQR) status with customers.
• Perform compliance audits to customer requirements and coordinate corrective actions.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to specifications, procedures, and standards.
• Develop PPAP documentation for new and existing programs (MSA, Capability Studies).
• Audit suppliers and monitor performance; drive improvements with suppliers.
• Review and approve Operator Plans.
• Suggest process improvements within the Quality Management System to reduce risks.
• Provide day-to-day technical assistance to personnel inspecting and testing product.
