Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Quality Engineer at our Sheffield facility to lead composite project quality, create and maintain documentation, and drive validation frameworks for new products and processes. The role includes cross-functional collaboration, lifecycle support, and reporting quality metrics to leadership.

You will also champion root cause analysis and apply PFMEA, SPC and MSA tools to ensure material and product quality across programs.

Qualifications

Expert in PFMEA, SPC and MSA with auditing experience.
Experience with composite production in automotive.
Knowledge of automotive quality systems.
Experience with niche low-volume programs.
Excellent communication and IT skills.

Responsibilities

Support all aspects of Quality for the assigned area of responsibility.
Apply analytical skills and judgement to generate solutions to technical challenges.
Deliver all aspects of Quality Engineering activities in line with targets, KPIs and milestones.
Support the containment of Quality Concern Reports (QCR) within 24 hours.
Support the resolution of Quality concerns using a structured approach (PPS, 8D or similar).
Build effective cross functional relationships and contribute to a high-performance team environment.
