Job summary

Leading Edge Manufacturing LLC, dba Joined Alloys, in Phoenix, is seeking a Quality Engineer with CMM programming expertise to ensure product quality across the manufacturing process.

You will program CMMs (Mitutoyo and Brown & Sharpe), prepare FAIRs, lead PPAP, apply GD&T, and drive process improvements while ensuring ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP compliance.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in engineering and 3+ years quality engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in a quality engineering role with hands-on CMM experience.
• Strong knowledge of FAIRS, PPAP, Cpk, SPC, and quality improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in GD&T and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Experience with RCA/CAPA and final inspection processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and customer-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate CMMs with appropriate software for dimensional inspections.
• Prepare and review FAIRs to meet customer specifications.
• Lead PPAP documentation to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Perform statistical analyses including Cpk to assess process performance.
• Apply GD&T to interpret drawings and design inspection plans.
• Drive quality improvements by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain final inspection procedures and ensure release of products meeting specs.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain to resolve quality issues.
