Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience to lead quality initiatives and ensure product conformance to industry standards. You will drive APQP activities, design of experiments, and CAPA programs across departments.

You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to sustain continuous improvement, leverage Lean Six Sigma tools, and advance quality performance in a high-reliability

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering preferred and at least 5 years of quality experience.
• Quality Engineer certification preferred
• Experience in lean six sigma manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools (FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Why, 8D, Value Stream Map, Process Flow, A3)
• Experience using quality tools and practices
• Excellent problem solving, statistical and analytical skills
• Excellent computer skills; expert in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Quality Requirements: translate customer contractual requirements to all departments.
• Process Validations: participate in New Product Introductions using APQP tools.
• Issue Identification: lead core teams to identify opportunities and monitor KPIs.
• Problem Solving: drive root-cause analysis and CAPA/CAR processes; verify effectiveness.
• Development: maintain professional and technical expertise through workshops and networking.
• Performs any other task as requested by Manager.
