Job summary

Grammer is seeking a Quality Engineer to join the Delphos, OH location. You will lead quality activities across capability studies, inspections, and documentation, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to ensure products meet customer standards.

The role emphasizes NPI support, process control development, and continuous improvement through PPAP, PFMEA, and QC methods while maintaining compliance with IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in technology or engineering.
• At least 5 years of quality experience in a similar role.
• 3 years of auditing experience.
• Plastics experience preferred.
• Injection mold experience preferred.
• Six Sigma Greenbelt preferred.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to communicate with customers and peers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality activities in capability studies, dimensional checks, material testing, product inspection, print changes, and documentation to achieve optimum productivity and quality.
• Provide quality support to internal and external customers and resolve quality issues in a timely and robust fashion.
• Lead the plant in customer satisfaction, PPAP, and IATF 16949 related activities; support multiple projects and launches.
• Develop and maintain process documentation (PFMEA, flow charts) and coordinate problem solving of quality issues.
• Review supplier PPAP packages and monitor supplier performance; ensure product conforms to customer standards.
• Assist with training of production personnel and ensure readiness for pre-production builds.
