Responsibilities

• Oversee Quality Auditing Team and auditing/inspection activities.
• Review auditing and inspection data to identify improvements.
• Perform data analysis to target areas for improvement.
• Assist with training of production personnel on quality standards.
• Ensure incoming products conform to customer engineering standards.
• Review supplier PPAP packages and monitor supplier performance.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and controls.
• Support ISO 9001, APQP and PPAP activities.
• Maintain PPAP booklet on assigned programs.
• Monitor and document quality performance and escalation as needed.

Job Functions:

• Oversee Quality Auditing Team and auditing/inspection activities.
• Review Auditing and Inspection Data.
• Perform data analysis to target areas for improvement.
• Participate in identifying open item issues.
• Control of documentation in accordance with ISO: 9001.
• Submit SRMs for the Quality Department.
• Gage Control and Calibration.
• Work with team to develop processes, establish process documentation and controls, and plant training needs of the new project.
• Assist with training of production personnel for processing and quality standards.
• Ensure incoming products conform to customer engineering standards.
• Support and develop process documentation, coordinate problem solving of quality issues as required.
• Review component and assembly supplier performance and submission.
• Determine possible quality problems and prepare a list of concerns to be discussed with the launch team.
• Monitor supplier concerns/rejections during pre-production and after Job #1.
• Work with tool and part suppliers on PPAP requirements and submission.
• Review and approve supplier PPAP package.
• Support elements of ISO: 9001, APQP and PPAP.
• Gage R&R studies, procedures and certification.
• Review of production quality performance with Quality Manager/Supervisor.
• Assist Engineers in development of FMEA, and process flowchart.
• Work with the team to develop processes, tune-in equipment and tooling. Establish process controls, assist in execution of new projects.
• Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.
• Quality documentation.
• Document control.
• Maintain PPAP booklet on assigned programs.
• Support development of PPAP submittal with Engineers.
• Develop and maintain quality auditor and inspector assignments as required.
• Maintain process documentation (i.e., Control Plan, flow charts).
• Maintain internal and external database: 8Ds, Process Alerts, and
• EASE Audit Schedule for layered process audits.
• Data at regular intervals specified by area.
• Annual product certifications.
• Other duties as assigned by Quality Manager

Qualifications Desired:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technology or engineering discipline.
• At least 1-3 years of quality experience in a similar role.
• 1-3 years of auditing experience.
• Highly motivated, able to communicate effectively with both supplierss and peers, and have the ability to handle difficult situations in a calm, thorough, and time conscious manner.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to analyze and utilize data to make informed and strategic decisions.
