Job summary

CFS in Grand Haven, MI is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive product and process quality in a manufacturing setting, supporting new launches, investigating issues, and implementing corrective actions to meet automotive standards.

The ideal candidate has hands-on quality engineering experience, strong problem solving, and expertise with APQP, PPAP and FMEA; collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP and FMEA in automotive manufacturing.
Experience supporting new product launches and cross-functional teams.
Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer requirements.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 audits.

Responsibilities

Support new product launches by developing control plans and inspection methods.
Investigate quality issues and drive corrective actions.
Lead or participate in APQP activities for new and existing products.
Perform process capability studies and statistical analysis to ensure process control.
Train production personnel on new quality processes.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
Prepare for and participate in audits (ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
Maintain quality documentation including PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
