Job summary

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is currently recruiting a Junior Quality Engineer for one of our automotive manufacturing clients in Southeast Michigan. This is an early-career role in a hands-on manufacturing environment, collaborating with Quality, Engineering and Operations to support product launches and process improvements.

You will perform root-cause analysis, support corrective actions, review data, and help implement quality standards on the shop floor while aligning with IATF 16949

Qualifications

• Experience with APQP and PPAP in automotive manufacturing.
• Knowledge of PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Familiarity with GD&T, gauging, calibration and Gauge R&R.
• Understanding of process capability, statistical techniques and root-cause problem solving.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day quality activities within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Partner with Quality, Process Engineering and Operations teams to resolve manufacturing quality issues.
• Support APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches.
• Assist with Control Plans, PFMEA, gauge planning and process capability studies.
• Perform root-cause analysis and support corrective actions.
• Review production and quality data and recommend process improvements.
• Support MSA, Gauge R&R and statistical analysis.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, tolerances and GD&T.
• Conduct product and process audits.
• Verify quality standards and work instructions are being followed on the manufacturing floor.
• Support continuous-improvement and operator-training initiatives.
