Job summary

LVT is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure performance, yield, and reliability of our production operations at our Spanish Fork, Utah facility. You will analyze electromechanical assemblies, lead root-cause investigations, and optimize automated test systems on the manufacturing floor with close collaboration with Manufacturing and Hardware Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Automation Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2–5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Practical experience with SPC, Six Sigma methodologies and standard problem‑solving techniques.
• Working knowledge of CAD software for fixture review/design (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and exposure to automation tools or scripting (PLC, Python).
• Strong foundation in electrical circuits, wiring harnesses and mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Investigate & resolve quality issues using root‑cause analysis and standard methodologies (8D, 5‑Why, Fishbone).
• Support design and deployment of automated test fixtures and related software integration (Python/PLC).
• Execute PFMEA and establish testing protocols and acceptance criteria across production lines.
• Analyze production data to track yield and defect metrics and prepare actionable reports for leadership.
• Evaluate testing procedures and cycle times to improve first‑pass yield without compromising quality or safety.
• Maintain alignment with ISO 9001 standards, customer specs, and internal governance.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and Hardware Design to define acceptance criteria and support NPI.
