Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with emphasis on quality.
• 3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality.
• Knowledge of quality systems, non-conformance processes, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with customer negotiations, quality audits, and creating work instructions.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct part-specific quality planning for new parts per the Quality Control Manual (QCM).
• Develop work instructions from customer specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Approve part routers per PCC procedures and customer specifications.
• Review customer specifications with PCC capabilities and negotiate adjustments as needed.
• Evaluate and process non-conforming material using the RNC system.
• Submit non-conformance reports to customers and negotiate dispositions.
• Initiate corrective action requests (RCAs) to resolve quality issues.
• Review returned goods to determine validity of returns.
• Conduct external supplier quality audits.
• Perform internal audits of PCC processes and the quality system.
• Act as authorized Quality Representative to release products for shipment.
• May supervise other engineers or technicians on assigned projects.
• Address safety considerations related to quality engineering tasks.
• Execute annual cost savings projects totaling at least three times the employee's salary.
