Job summary

Boyd in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Quality Engineer to support APQP activities, develop PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Work Instructions, and manage the PPAP submissions. You will investigate non-conformances, lead corrective actions, and identify opportunities for process improvements to ensure ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer requirements are met.

Collaboration with production, engineering, and suppliers is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering, QA, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA.

Responsibilities

• Supports APQP activities and develops PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Work Instructions.
• Manages PPAP submission process and investigates non-conformances.
• Leads corrective actions and supports continuous improvement with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers.
