Job summary

Motus Integrated Technologies, a leading automotive interior solutions provider, seeks a Quality Engineer to advance APQP/PPAP activities and manage complex quality programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure launch quality, supplier alignment, and sustained process improvement across North American facilities.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, GD&T proficiency, and effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of quality manufacturing experience.
• Know-how of automotive APQP tools (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP).
• IATF certification preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and GD&T.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Manage all customer-specific Advanced Quality Planning requirements throughout launch.
• Collaborate with Launch team to complete deliverables on time and resolve issues.
• Apply best practices to meet quality and business objectives in new product development.
• Lead quality systems within area, working with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing.
• Lead APQP and PPAP activities for internal and external suppliers.
• Maintain APQP documentation and support corrective actions, including 8D responses.
• Support certification audits and promote safety in the facility.
• Oversee gaging needs and fixture design, build and prove-out.
• Manage product audits and first piece/mistake-proof audits.
• Handle customer notifications regarding quality or delivery issues.
• Report quality status per CSR requirements.
• Position primarily first shift with broader shift support.
