IMS Gear is hiring a Quality Engineer at our Virginia Beach, VA facility. You will manage new product programs through APQP/IATF 16949, lead quality initiatives, and serve as the primary customer contact to ensure smooth launches and sustained quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Minimum of five years of related manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with GD&T, CAQ (Control Plan), IGI (Incoming Goods Inspection), and CAQ-QMIS.

Responsabilités

• Primary point of communication with customers and represents IMS Gear professionally.
• Lead customer technical contacts and drive program updates.
• Develop new product applications with customer development teams.
• Create interfaces between APQP, manufacturing resources and processes.
• Ensure product launches and production through APQP and IATF 16949.
• Coordinate with IMS teams in Germany, USA and Mexico to meet requirements.
• Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing and quality processes.
• Lead APQP, internal/external quality control and problem-solving activities.
• Ensure conformance with the IMS Quality System in production activities.
