Job summary

Evolent seeks a Quality Engineer to design, automate, and execute tests for the Evolent Platform web experience. You will work in an Agile, globally distributed team with developers, analysts, and stakeholders to surface issues early and ensure software quality.

You will leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate test design and data generation while maintaining strict accountability for outcomes, security and compliance. Strong collaboration and communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing, including UI test automation.
• Hands-on with Playwright or similar end-to-end automation tools, preferably TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript for test automation; experience with Vitest or Jest.
• Familiar with API testing (Postman) and REST APIs; CI/CD tools and Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute test plans and test cases for assigned features.
• Create and maintain Playwright end-to-end tests and Vitest component tests.
• Execute API tests, contract tests, and CI/CD driven test runs in GitHub Actions.
• Perform accessibility checks and report quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Identify defects, track them with developers, and support AI-enabled testing initiatives.
