Job summary

About The Role

Established Quality Engineering professional. Works as an individual contributor to set and achieve objectives for own area of responsibility. Influences process and planning decisions with knowledge and explanations of Quality Engineering policies, practices, and procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead problem-solving teams to analyze and resolve internal/external issues
  • Identify & lead first pass yield improvement projects
  • Lead and/or participate in scrap reduction and process improvement projects with other functions
  • Participate in Design Reviews, PFMEA and Control Plan development and plan appropriate actions to reduce RPN
  • Proactively investigate ways to improve the process to reduce waste, scrap, and customer concerns.
  • Track and Report Quality KPIs for the respective area
  • Organize and present data to management for decision making
  • Comply with all the company and departmental policies and procedures Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager
  • Lead/ Support product containment with operations/ warehouse support
  • Coordination and performance of internal process/product audits
  • Complete capability studies and monitor control of key product characteristics
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials or Industrial Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience working in the Quality function in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working through ISO9001 certification and internal auditing
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for this position is a positive self-driven professional who possesses a combination of business acumen, technical and interpersonal skills.

  • Robust skills of data manipulation, interpretation and analysis.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).
  • Familiar with GD&T methodology
  • Strong corrective action skills, ability to lead a cross-functional team and follow the issue to closure using 8D problem-solving tools such as; 5Y, fishbone, Fault tree analysis, etc
  • Experience with quality core tools such as, MSA, SPC, FMEA & Control plans
  • Knowledge of all the Quality tools (DOE, SPC, Pareto Charts, Cause & Effect Analysis, Minitab, etc) and the deployment of these tools in continuous improvement initiatives.
