Job summary

Aditi Consulting is seeking a Quality Engineer for Drivetrain Components Manufacturing in Waterloo, Iowa. You will support production by applying quality tools to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction, and lead quality improvements across multiple projects.

You will drive warranty reduction efforts and work with cross-functional teams to implement process controls and data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with standard quality management principles and tools (FMEA, SPC, RCA, Control Plans, MSA).
• Ability to read complex part drawings with GD&T knowledge.
• Experience using advanced data gathering and statistical analysis techniques.
• Experience driving closed-loop corrective actions and rigorous root-cause analysis.
• Experience with gear or shaft manufacturing standards, processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead drivetrain component manufacturing issue resolution and drive quality improvements via QIT, PFMEA, DPQ, Six Sigma, and Smart Connected Factory initiatives.
• Plan, organize and execute quality initiatives including cross-functional, cross-departmental projects.
• Apply structured problem-solving and statistical methods to resolve complex manufacturing problems.
• Manage, implement, or update control plan development and execution.

Job description

Payrate: $36.00 - $42.00/hr.

Summary: As a Quality Engineer for Drivetrain Components Manufacturing located in Waterloo, Iowa, you will support production by leveraging a variety of quality tools and processes to ensure product quality performance exceeds customer expectations. You will also lead quality improvement initiatives and drive customer warranty improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead Drivetrain Component Manufacturing issue resolution in a fast-paced environment while driving improvement through various quality initiatives including QIT, PFMEA, DPQ, Six Sigma projects, and Smart Connected Factory initiatives.
• Plan, organize and execute quality initiatives in your area of responsibility, including leading cross-functional, cross-departmental projects.
• Leverage structured problem-solving and statistical skills to solve complex component manufacturing problems.
• Manage, implement, or update control plan development and execution.

Qualifications

• Experience using standard quality management principles and tools (such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause, Control Plans, Gauge RR, MSA and Capability Studies).
• Experience reading and interpreting complex part drawings, including functional knowledge of GD&T principles and terminology.
• Experience using advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.
• Experience in driving a closed loop corrective action process, including rigorous root cause analysis.
• Experience with gear or shaft manufacturing standards, processes, and controls.

Skills

• Experience in project management; including effectively facilitating, leading, and managing cross functional teams.
• Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, Tableau, or Minitab software.
• ASQ certifications such as CQE, CSSGB, and/or CSSBB.
• Drivetrain Components shop floor experience.

Pay Transparency

The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $36.00 - $42.00/hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
