Job summary

John Deere in Waterloo, IA, seeks a Quality Engineer to support 8R OFP production onsite, driving defect reduction and warranty improvements through rigorous problem solving.

Candidate will own PFMEA and Control Plans, implement mistake proofing and risk mitigation, and partner with Manufacturing, Production, and Design to raise process quality and inspection standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Electrical) or related field.
• Strong problem solving skills and data analysis on the shop floor.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering support for 8R OFP production, driving reduction in defects, rework, and warranty through structured problem solving.
