The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or have at least three years of relevant quality engineering experience within the manufacturing sector. A strong background in manufacturing quality processes, continuous improvement programs, and familiarity with automotive standards such as TS-16949 and ISO-9000 is required. Experience working with electrical or mechanical device manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform failure analysis and drive corrective actions. Knowledge of customer and supplier relations, along with experience supporting APQP/PPAP activities for new product launches, is essential. Certifications such as ASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector, ASE Certification, or Certified Quality Technician will be considered a significant advantage. Some travel and overtime may be required to meet project deadlines and support operational needs.
The primary responsibilities of the Quality Engineer include developing and maintaining Process Control Plans (PCP) for various products and models, ensuring compliance with quality standards. You will lead cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions based on yield analysis, warranty data, and customer feedback, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Performing failure analysis on customer returns will be a key aspect of your role, with a focus on rapid resolution and root cause identification. Mentoring teams in root cause analysis methodologies and continuous improvement techniques such as Six Sigma will be part of your leadership duties. You will support APQP/PPAP activities during new product launches, ensuring quality requirements are met from inception to production.
