G&F Precision Molding Inc. in Fiskdale, MA is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our onsite team. You will ensure products and processes meet quality standards and work with production to monitor deviations, aligning objectives with customer expectations.

The role requires a four-year technical degree or equivalent, one year of QA experience, and strong knowledge of GD&T, SPC, DOE, Gage R&R, and ISO 9001/13485. You will lead testing strategies, manage ERP data, and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Four-year technical degree or equivalent experience; problem-solving coursework.
• Proficiency in GD&T, SPC, DOE, Gage R&R, and process capability.
• Experience with ERP systems and ISO 9001/13485 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Operations: work with production to monitor and correct deviations.
• Strategic Planning: align quality objectives with goals and customer expectations.
• Performance Metrics: drive on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, cost reductions.
• ERP & Reporting: maintain ERP data and provide monthly forecasts.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team and ensure that products and processes meet established quality standards, improving reliability, safety, and efficiency across manufacturing and service industries.

What You’ll Do

• Direct Operations: Work with production to monitor and correct deviations from quality standards.
• Strategic Planning: Align quality objectives with organizational goals and customer expectations.
• Performance Metrics: Drive and execute management goals for on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, labor costs, and material cost reduction.
• ERP & Reporting: Work with production to keep the ERP system data accurate and provide monthly forecasting for open sales.
• Team Leadership: Set quality standards, designing testing strategies, and guiding the QA team towards achieving those standards.
• Technical Collaboration: Identifying potential quality issues and ensuring that product is built to be efficient and manufacturable.
• Inventory Control: Inspecting products to ensure they meet the required specification.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience in quality assurance.
• Education: Four-year technical degree or equivalent experience; coursework in a field that offers as opportunity to gain a well-rounded background with additional class work in problem-solving techniques.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems; ISO 9001 and/or 13485 experience preferred. Expert knowledge of GD&T, knowledge of Solidworks, Vision systems programming experience (QVIOGP SmartScope preferred), Experience analyzing results of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiment (D.O.E.), Gage R&R, and process capability; use of Minitab procedures.
• Communication: Strong ability to handle technical discussions and comply with complex written and verbal directions.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a cleanroom environment (PPE required), lift to 25 lbs, and stand/bend for up to 8 hours per day.
• Travel: Periodic travel to other G&F, customer, and suppler locations is required.
