Job summary

Laborup in San Jose, CA is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a high-end precision manufacturing operation. This hands-on role keeps you close to the shop floor as you investigate issues, determine root causes, and drive corrective actions with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customers.

You will own CAPAs, nonconformances, deviations, and PPAP activities, partnering with CNC teams to prevent recurring problems and strengthen quality processes as the operation grows.

Qualifications

• Quality engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong root-cause analysis and corrective action skills.
• Hands-on ownership of CAPAs and deviations.
• Experience with PPAP and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with IQ/OQ/PQ and manufacturing validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead root-cause investigations for manufacturing and customer issues.
• Own CAPAs and corrective actions from investigation to resolution.
• Investigate nonconformances and determine next steps.
• Partner with engineering and manufacturing on repair strategies.
• Prepare and manage deviation requests and customer notifications.
• Support PPAP documentation and approval processes.
• Support IQ/OQ/PQ activities and process validation.
• Communicate with customers about quality issues and actions taken.
• Collaborate with CNC teams to prevent recurring problems.
• Strengthen quality processes as the operation grows.

We’re hiring an experiencedQuality Engineerto join a growing, high-end precision manufacturing operation inSan Jose, CA.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who enjoys getting to the bottom of difficult manufacturing problems. You’ll work directly withengineering, manufacturing, quality, and customersto investigate issues, determine root cause, implement corrective actions, and drive problems through resolution.

Rather than sitting behind a desk reviewing paperwork, you’ll be closely connected to the manufacturing floor and the components being produced.

• Strong experience withroot-cause analysis and corrective action.
• Hands-on experience owningCAPAs.
• Experience withPPAP and formal quality documentation.
• Familiarity withIQ/OQ/PQ or manufacturing process validation.
• Experience managingnonconformances and deviations.
• Strong technical communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
• Experience within aprecision CNC machining environment is highly preferred.
