Job summary

IPS Group in Rutherford, NJ is seeking a Sr. Manufacturing Quality Engineer to support data center chiller manufacturing onsite. This senior role requires 8+ years of manufacturing quality engineering experience and hands-on process improvement leadership.

You will lead RCCA, 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma projects, develop QC plans and testing protocols, drive defect reduction, and train production teams. Collaboration with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain is essential to ensure ISO 9001

Qualifications

• 8+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, chillers or industrial equipment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of RCCA, 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma, SPC and QMS.

We are hiring 2 Senior Quality Engineers with 8+ years of manufacturing quality engineering experience to support plant operations for data center chiller manufacturing.

• Monitor and improve manufacturing processes and product quality
• Lead RCCA, 8D, FMEA, Six Sigma, and corrective/preventive actions
• Develop quality control plans, inspection procedures, and testing protocols
• Conduct manufacturing process audits and drive defect reduction
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams
• Support new product introduction and quality validation
• Analyze quality metrics using SPC, Minitab, Excel, and other statistical tools
• Train production teams on quality and problem-solving practices
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ASHRAE, and applicable standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
• 8+ years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing
• Experience with HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, or industrial equipment preferred
• Strong knowledge of 8D, FMEA, RCCA, Six Sigma, SPC, and QMS
• Experience with ISO 9001 compliance
• Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and measurement tools
• Hands-on experience with welding, brazing, assembly, and testing
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
