Job summary

ManpowerGroup seeks a Quality Engineer 3 to join the Quality Assurance team. You will develop quality and control plans, monitor yield, and drive continuous improvement across cross-functional teams. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, root cause analysis, and collaboration with audits and certifications.

The position is on-site with a structured 8am–5pm schedule, offering opportunities for contract extension or conversion based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or related technical roles.
• Proficiency with quality tools (FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC, 8D RCA).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists.
• Monitor First Pass Yield and drive quality improvements.
• Lead root cause analyses for customer complaints and audits.
• Perform COPQ analyses and map manufacturing processes for improvements.
• Lead Continuous Improvement projects to enhance quality and efficiency.

Our client, a leading organization in manufacturing and quality assurance, is seeking a Quality Engineer 3 to join their team. As a Quality Engineer 3, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Develop and maintain Quality Plans, Control Plans, and inspection checklists, deriving Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and establishing Q-gates.
• Monitor and analyze First Pass Yield metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance product quality and production efficiency.
• Proactively monitor customer complaints, conduct thorough root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions; coordinate with Cross-Functional Teams during customer audits, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and certification audits (UL, CSA, ISO).
• Perform COPQ analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities, reducing defects, improving efficiency, and increasing profitability; map current manufacturing processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Lead Continuous Improvement projects to optimize manufacturing and quality processes, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or related technical roles.
• Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, 7 QC tools, 5S, 5Why, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, SPC, DMAIC, and 8D Root Cause Analysis.
• Familiarity with industry standards like UL1561, NEMA ST-20, IEEE C57.12.01, IEEE C57.12.91, DOE 2016, UL891, and CSA C22.2 to ensure compliance and reliability.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
