Job summary

AMMEGA is seeking a Quality Assurance leader in Reading, PA to maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications and strengthen processes across manufacturing. You will lead audits, develop procedures, and drive continuous improvement in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include executing 8D/DMAIC problem solving, CAPA, PFMEA, and control plans while promoting Lean principles, 5S, and visual management to reduce waste and variation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ years administering ISO Certification Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, ISO 45000).
• 5+ years experience in Manufacturing Quality or Manufacturing Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal, compliance, and leadership quality audits; ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce quality procedures, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
• Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives and compliance requirements.
• Lead internal and external issue resolution using 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Kaizen, and Six Sigma tools.
• Drive root cause identification, CAPA, and verify effectiveness.
• Implement Lean principles to reduce waste and promote 5S and visual management.
• Lead PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, VSM and poka-yoke solutions.
• Analyze nonconformances, FPY trends, and process capability to identify improvements.
• Support manufacturing with engineering changes, new process implementation, product transfers, and validation activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Maintain and support certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and complete internal audits, compliance audits, and leadership quality audits; ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce quality procedures, work instructions, and acceptance criteria.
• Support environmental, health, and safety initiatives and compliance requirements.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

• Lead internal and external customer issue resolution using 8D, DMAIC, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Kaizen, and Six Sigma tools.
• Drive root cause identification, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and verify effectiveness.
• Implement Lean principles consistent with the Ammega Production System to reduce waste and variation.
• Promote and sustain 5S and visual management practices.

Manufacturing & Process Quality

• Lead development and implementation of PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, VSM and poka‑yoke solutions.
• Analyze process nonconformances, manufacturing scrap, and First Pass Yield (FPY) trends to identify root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Improve process controls and capability through data analysis and statistical methods.
• Support manufacturing with engineering changes, new process implementation, product transfers, and process validation activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 3+ year of experience with administering and maintaining ISO Certification Systems (Working knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14000, and ISO 45000 standards).
• 5+ years experience within manufacturing Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma tools, 8D problem solving methodology, tool utilization (i.e., 5 Whys, Fishbone (cause & effect) DMAIC, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow, Process Auditing, Process Capability analysis, ISO, and Poka Yoke design.
• Internal Auditor experience is a plus.
