Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Putnam, CT, for a Quality System Engineer. The role involves managing day-to-day tasks related to quality management, auditing, quality assurance, and ensuring compliance with quality systems.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal documentation and internal auditing processes.
  • Perform risk assessments to drive the Corrective Preventive Action (CAPA) program.
  • Overhaul and enhance the CAPA process through effective root cause analysis.
  • Utilize ETQ quality systems for quality management.
  • Interact with customers and manage quality survey requests efficiently.
Essential Skills
  • Quality engineering expertise.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques such as 5 why's and fishbone method.
  • Strong background in documentation quality assurance.
  • Experience in internal auditing.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Quality Assurance certification is a plus.
  • Experience with ETQ system.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a positive attitude.
Work Environment

The company specializes in custom polymer resin compounding, primarily catering to medical needs. The work involves creating materials that can be identified under scans, such as making catheters visible under x-rays. The quality team comprises 15 members, including technicians, senior Quality Engineers, and a quality manager. The company also operates a lab in Las Vegas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
