Company and Role Description

Optomi, in partnership with a leading national bank known for its innovative mortgage and lending technology, is seeking a skilled Senior QA Engineer to support critical systems within the financial services sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, agile IT environment supporting loan origination systems like ENCOMPASS and related banking platforms. The ideal candidate will have a quality-first mindset and excel in cross-functional teams that value communication, business understanding, and technical expertise.

Candidate Requirements

• 5–7 years of QA or software testing experience in banking, lending, or financial services
• 1+ years of hands-on experience with ENCOMPASS or similar Loan Origination Systems (LOS) such as LoanIQ or InfoLease
• Experience working within large-scale, enterprise environments at major financial institutions
• Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing practices
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Postman
• Understanding of the loan lifecycle, especially origination and servicing
• Comfortable with Agile/Scrum frameworks and QA tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
• Effective communication skills for collaboration across technical and non-technical teams
• (Preferred) Experience testing APIs, building custom test workflows, and performance/load testing
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual and automated test plans for ENCOMPASS and other banking platforms
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and product owners to review requirements and define test coverage
• Conduct regression, integration, end-to-end, and UAT testing across complex systems
• Identify, track, and report bugs using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
• Build and maintain automation frameworks and scripts (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and standups
• Provide insights to improve QA processes, identify risks, and enhance quality standards

This position is remote, with the team located in CST and PST time zones. Please consider time zone differences before applying. This is a W-2 employment position.
