Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of statistical theory, SPC, and inspection methods.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement testing and inspection methods for product quality.
• Review manufacturing documentation to ensure inspection criteria are present.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for deficiencies.
• Use statistical methods and SPC to support continuous improvement teams.
• Develop quality reporting measures to analyze product performance and customer satisfaction.
• Review specifications and create inspection plans to meet requirements.
• Support NCMR failure analysis and corrective actions.
• Assist with prototype and new process development to meet standards.
• Lead internal and supplier quality audits, adhering to AS9100.
• Interface with supplier quality representatives to resolve issues and drive corrective actions.
• Support supplier corrective action activities, including site visits.
• Participate in customer surveys, audits, and source inspections.
• Conduct IPC 600 training and maintain certifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and ISO standards.
• Facilitate responses on RMAs and support AS9102 first article inspections.

Position Description:

The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring product quality, continuous improvement, and compliance with customer requirements. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement methods for testing and inspecting product quality.

• Utilize statistical methods and statistical process control to support structured problem-solving teams and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support Non-Conformance Material Report (NCMR) failure analysis and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
• Assist with prototype and new process development to meet customer and industry standards.
• Participate in and lead internal and supplier quality system audits, ensuring adherence to AS9100 standards and company policies.
• Interface with supplier quality representatives to resolve quality issues and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
• Actively support supplier corrective action activities, including site visits.
• Participate in customer surveys, audits, and source inspections as required.
• Conduct IPC 600 training for staff, maintaining certifications as required.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and programs regarding safety, security, and ISO standards.
• Facilitate timely and effective responses on RMAs
• Support AS9102 first article inspection reports

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, significant relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and competence in performing root cause analysis.
• Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
• Broad knowledge of statistical theory, statistical process control, and inspection control methods.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comprehensive understanding of quality systems, policies, and procedures, with the ability to interpret and meet customer requirements.
• Proficiency in AS9100 standards and quality management systems.
• Willingness to travel to supplier and customer locations as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Electronic and/or circuit board experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Regular use of hands for handling objects and tools, including computer input devices.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to focus on detailed tasks and maintain visual accuracy for close and distance work.
