Job summary

American Axle & Manufacturing in Pennsylvania is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead and facilitate global and site-specific quality initiatives and drive continual improvements across manufacturing processes. Qualifications

  • Proficiency in IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Must have auditing and problem-solving skills, and customer concern experience.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and Access.
  • Ability to teach/train/facilitate and lead quality initiatives in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Follow and abide by all safety standards and expectations.
  • Monitor and review process activities; initiate engineering changes.
  • Complete Internal Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR).
  • Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) and Design Review Board (DRB).
  • Plan and implement inspection instruction sheets; assist Inspectors.
  • Conduct Statistical Process Control activities.
  • Complete Internal Problem-Solving Reports.
  • Train others as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
