Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking an Advanced Quality Engineer to join our team onsite in Alamance, NC. You will be the customer’s main contact for quality requirements, working across locations and functions to improve quality in line with the voice of the customer.

Responsibilities include maintaining customer-specific systems, developing improvement roadmaps, and leading cross-functional problem-solving using data-driven methods. Strong communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 1–3+ years of automotive quality experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the customer’s main contact for quality requirements across locations and functions.
  • Develop and execute quality improvement plans aligned with customer KPIs.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives using structured methodologies and data analysis.
  • Maintain customer-specific requirements and performance data in CRM systems.
  • Communicate customer needs and changes to internal teams; participate in renewal activities.

This is a fully onsite role.The Quality Engineer is the customer’s main contact and source of information for customer-specific quality requirements. This individual will work across locations and functions to develop plans to improve quality performance in line with the voice of the customer.Job Description:Customer Service: Acts as the conscious voice of the customer within the organization, acting as the customer representative on all related activities. Accesses customer B2B portals on a regular basis in order to obtain performance metrics and update and maintain customer specific requirements.Resolving Customer Issues: Ensures customer specific systems (APQP, change management, zero mileage, warranty service, etc.) and performance requirements are understood and communicated within the organization.Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting: Assures customer satisfaction by monitoring and communicating current customer performance data and ensure alignment with internal reporting.Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data: Holds regular meetings with the customer to develop working relationships, review current performance, and discuss future changes to requirements.Customer Needs Clarification: Clarifies the customer's requirements and assists in conducting interviews with potential customers to collect client requirements, making detailed notes.Renewals: Provides exceptional service to customers to encourage continued use of the organization's products/services.Compliance: Develops and executes a customer quality improvement plan (Road Map) aligned with agreed objectives and end targets (KPIs). Leads escalated problem-solving using CSR (6 sigma, Shainin Red X, KT, etc.) and communicates findings effectively to leadership.Personal Capability Building: Undertakes training when identified to improve business capability and allow for changes in technology and quality requirements.
