Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Quality Engineer who will research, develop and revise quality and environmental policies, procedures, system instructions, engineering standards, and work instructions that govern the Quality Engineering Department. You’ll own it, drive it, and push for breakthroughs on a fast-growing brand in the construction industry.

You’ll perform audits, provide training on statistical tools for continuous improvement, establish process performance standards, and coordinate

Qualifications

  • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills are required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

  • Audit quality and environmental systems for ISO compliance.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Develop and revise quality policies and standards.
  • Provide training on statistical methods for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate corrective action systems across the company.
  • Respond to quality information requests from customers.
  • Support management reviews with data and insights.
  • Maintain knowledge of ISO 14000/9000 standards.

Job Description
Quality Engineer

Your primary duties as a Quality Engineer for Milwaukee Electric Tool are to research, develop and revise Quality and Environmental Policies, Procedures, System Instructions, Engineering Standards, and Work Instructions that govern the operations of the Quality Engineering Department. You’ll be empowered every day to own it, drive it, and do what it takes to design and develop the biggest breakthroughs in the industry, while having the support and resources of the fastest‑growing brand in the construction industry to make it happen.

You'll Also Be DISRUPTIVE Through These Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform, process environmental and quality system audits to ensure compliance to specifications and documented procedures. Perform the lead auditor responsibilities of planning, scheduling, conducting meetings and documenting results.
  • Provide training and advising to work areas on statistical techniques and tools for continuous improvement to help maintain ISO certifications in quality and environment systems.
  • Establish standards to measure process performance and improvement.
  • Provide expertise on the use of various specialties related to business such as process analysis, flowcharting and strategic planning.
  • Coordinate corrective action systems used throughout the company to ensure timely root cause analysis and effective corrective/preventive action.
  • Respond to customer requests for quality information.
  • Perform analysis on Quality and environmental systems for input to executive management review and as a basis for improvement.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the structure and workings of the Milwaukee Quality and Environmental Systems and certifying agency requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise in the area of the ISO 14000 and 9000 series of standards and their interpretations.
What TOOLS You'll Bring With You
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
  • Must be self‑motivated and able to work with basic direction.
  • Solid analytical and technical skills required.
  • Willingness to work with hands.
