Job summary

AeroFlow Technologies is seeking a Quality Engineer in Cookeville, TN to uphold high standards in metal tubing products for aerospace applications. You will implement QC procedures, inspect materials and processes, and lead root-cause investigations to drive continual improvement.

The role requires 3–5 years in aerospace QA, knowledge of SPC and QMS such as ISO 9001/AS9100, and strong communication skills to work with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering with ASQ CQE certification is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of aerospace manufacturing quality engineering experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, SPC, RCA, and improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to ensure consistent production of high‑quality metal tubing products.
  • Inspect materials, in-process components, and finished goods for compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering to identify process improvements.
  • Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks and improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Lead investigations into product non-conformances and customer complaints.
  • Perform root cause analyses and develop corrective and preventive actions with cross‑functional teams.
  • Maintain and update inspection records, test reports, and SOPs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant QMS requirements and certifications (ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Use statistical techniques to monitor key quality metrics and generate management reports.
  • Provide training on QC procedures to production personnel.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
  • Stay updated on aerospace regulations, standards, and best practices.

We are seeking a Quality Engineer that willplay a crucial role in upholding our commitment to producing top-notch metal tubing products that meet and exceed industry standards. So, what will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?
  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to guarantee the consistent production of high-quality metal tubing products.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of materials, in-process components, and finished goods to assess compliance with G&L Tube's quality standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing and engineering teams to identify areas for process improvement.

  • Lead investigations into product non-conformances and customer complaints.
  • Utilize various quality tools and methodologies to perform root cause analyses, and work with cross-functional teams to develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain and update quality-related documentation, including inspection records, test reports, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant quality management system requirements and certifications.
  • Utilize statistical techniques to analyze data and monitor key quality metrics.
  • Generate reports and present findings to management to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality assurance within the aerospace realm.
  • Ensure that G&L Tube Company remains in compliance with all applicable quality and safety requirements in accordance to aerospace protocol.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within an aerospace manufacturing environment, preferably in metal tubing or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and quality improvement methodologies. Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or other quality management systems is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of quality in all products and processes.
  • Proven track record of solving complex quality issues and implementing effective preventive measures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
