Job summary

G&L Tube LLC, a division of AeroFlow Technologies, is seeking a Quality Engineer to uphold aerospace standards across metal tubing production. You will implement quality systems, perform supplier and in-process inspections, and lead investigations into non-conformances to prevent recurrence.

Collaborating with manufacturing and engineering, you will identify process improvements, analyze data with SPC, maintain QMS documentation, and train production staff on quality practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or related field; ASQ Certified Quality Engineer a plus.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within an aerospace manufacturing environment, preferably metal tubing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles, SPC, root cause analysis, and quality improvement methodologies; ISO 9001/AS9100 desirable.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation to drive data‑driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with cross‑functional teams, suppliers, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to guarantee consistent production of high‑quality metal tubing products.
  • Conduct inspections of materials, in‑process components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Analyze production processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Lead investigations into product non‑conformances and customer complaints.
  • Use quality tools to perform root cause analyses and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection records and SOPs.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant QMS requirements and certifications.
  • Utilize statistical techniques to analyze data and monitor key quality metrics.
  • Generate reports and present findings to management to support data‑driven decisions.
  • Provide training to production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on aerospace regulations and standards related to quality assurance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality and safety requirements per aerospace protocols.

So, what will you be doing as a Quality Engineer?

  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures to guarantee the consistent production of high-quality metal tubing products.

  • Ensure that G&L Tube Company remains in compliance with all applicable quality and safety requirements in accordance to aerospace protocol.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Relevant certifications in quality assurance (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a quality engineering role within an aerospace manufacturing environment, preferably in metal tubing or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles, statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and quality improvement methodologies. Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or other quality management systems is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation, with the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of quality in all products and processes.
  • Proven track record of solving complex quality issues and implementing effective preventive measures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
