Job summary

Millennium Print Group in Durham, NC, seeks a Quality Engineer to develop and maintain quality control plans for printing, finishing, and packaging operations. You will analyze processes using SPC and drive CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will collaborate across Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain while supporting audits and validations. A degree in engineering or related field with 3–4 years in quality is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Typically requires 3–4 years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality.
  • Experience in printing, packaging, or high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, CAPA, Gauge R&R, and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Minitab, and other quality analysis software.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification preferred.

  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI), process capability studies, and quality validations.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits while ensuring compliance with ISO and quality management systems.
  • Monitor scrap, rework, yield, and production quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Support new product launches, equipment validations, and capital improvement projects.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Quality Engineer

What You’ll Do
