Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business in Worcester. You will work hands-on to identify root causes, drive containment and long-term corrective actions, and partner with production, engineering and suppliers to improve quality across a busy plant.

You will engage in APQP, PPAP, 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA and Control Plans, balancing practical problem solving with formal quality planning.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quality Engineer in regulated manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of APQP and PPAP.
• Experience with 8D, 5 Why and root cause analysis.
• Understanding PFMEA, Control Plans and quality planning.
• Experience handling customer and supplier quality issues.
• Hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement approach.
• Ability to work with production, engineering and customers at all levels.

Job description

Owen Daniels are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading Manufacturing business who are rapidly expanding in Worcester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys a hands on engineering environment, gets involved in solving problems and wants to play a key role in improving quality across a busy manufacturing operation.

The role will see you working closely with production, engineering, suppliers and customers, taking ownership of quality issues and driving them through to effective, long term solutions. You will be involved across APQP, PPAP, 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA, Control Plans, root cause analysis and continuous improvement, with plenty of opportunity to get involved with new projects as well as existing production.

We are looking for someone who can look at a quality issue, get to the real root cause and work with the team to make sure it doesn't happen again.

You will ideally have:

• Experience as a Quality Engineer within a regulated manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of APQP and PPAP
• Practical experience with 8D, 5 Why and root cause analysis
• Good understanding of PFMEA, Control Plans, and quality planning
• Experience dealing with customer and supplier quality issues
• A hands on approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
• The confidence to work with production, engineering and customers at all levels
