Venteon is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Jonesville, Michigan area client in the automotive sector. This is a full-time, direct-hire role with competitive pay, bonus potential, and good benefits.

The candidate will focus on Core Tools such as MSA, APQP and GD&T, support PPAP submissions, and drive root-cause analysis with SPC data analysis. Strong English communication and automotive QA experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in quality engineering in automotive manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, MSA and GD&T principles.
  • Experience with reading CMM reports and ISO/IATF quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Emphasize Core Tools usage incl. MSA, APQP and GD&T.
  • Troubleshoot root cause analysis and perform SPC data analysis.
  • Participate in APQP of programs and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Conduct capability studies and RR analysis.
  • Create quality documents per quality system requirements.
  • Coordinate PPAP submissions within timelines.
  • Review non-conforming products and disposition recommendations.
  • Support process improvement and variation reduction on critical characteristics.
  • Notify customers of potential problems and propose resolutions.
  • Contribute to project completion by resolving design, safety or material issues.
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to drive project success.

QUALITY ENGINEER NEEDED - JONESVILLE, MICHIGAN

A Leading Automotive Supplier near Jonesville, Michigan needs a Quality Engineer. This is a Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Position offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Large emphasis on Core Tools - MSA, APQP, GDT Requirement
  • Responsible for trouble shooting root cause analysis and SPC data analysis
  • Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) of assigned programs and ensuring all related documentations are up to date
  • Conduct capability studies and gauge RR analysis
  • Creating quality documents in compliance with the company's quality system requirements
  • Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) of assign programs
  • Coordinate and responsible for PPAP submissions within specified timeframe
  • Review and make recommendations for the disposition of non-conforming products
  • Assist in variability reduction, process improvement and continuous improvement related to critical characteristics
  • Notify internal and external customers of potential problems and make recommendations for resolutions
  • Responsible for the successful project completion via participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, safety concerns, unsuitability of standard material and difficult coordination requirements
  • Coordinates project activities with other department's personnel to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion
  • Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity, stop production if necessary to correct quality problems
  • Control further processing, delivery, or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
  • Ensure good housekeeping for the department and that all areas responsible are tidy and always organized
  • Contribute to continuous improvement ideas and to encourage co-workers to do the same
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 to 5 Years of previous Quality Engineering Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Plant is a Required
  • Experience with Launching New Products and Programs
  • Excellent English Communication Skills both Oral and Written
  • Advanced in GD&T, Blue Print Reading based on OEM
  • Excellent Organizational and Time Management Skills
  • Capable of reading CMM Reports
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 / IATF / ISO14001 Quality & Environmental Management Standards an asset
  • Automotive Quality Engineering Experience is a Must
  • Metal Stamping Expertise or Welding / Assembly Experience is Preferred
  • Product and Process knowledge of Suspensions, Structural - BIW - Body In White, Class A
