Job summary

CSP is seeking a Quality Engineer to drive APQP efforts, manage process control plans, and improve manufacturing quality. You will coordinate with customers and suppliers, read GD&T, and apply statistical methods to reduce scrap and defects.

The role requires communication skills and a background in engineering within a manufacturing setting. The CSR environment emphasizes teamwork, adherence to IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards, and opportunities to contribute to ongoing improvements and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred and at least 3 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with math and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to apply problem-solving in standardized, variable-rich scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers and suppliers on project quality matters.
• Lead APQP activities and maintain process control plans and PFMEA.
• Develop, document, and implement continuous improvement in manufacturing.
• Read/interpret GD&T and apply it to inspection and tolerance analyses.
• Support PPAP submissions and compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001.

Job Description Essential Job Functions:

Become familiar with customer Specific Quality System Requirements including the customer specific portal. Act as liaison with external parties (customer & supplier) on matters relating to assigned product. Head all APQP efforts, responsible for reviewing and updating as needed. Process flow diagrams. Process control plans. Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis plans. Manufacturing work instructions. Quality Inspection instructions. Error proofing effectiveness. Internally collected variable and attribute data. BOM accuracy. Responsible for managing customer issues. Internal product sorts / quality alerts. Interim corrective actions. Permanent corrective actions. Answering to the customer on any concerns/issues they have, including written and verbal. Train employees to quality issues as needed. Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, production, and quality through layered process auditing and scrap reduction. Read and Interpret GD & T and applying that knowledge as needed. Perform Problem-solving Techniques. Perform Process Capabilities using Statistical Techniques as needed. Be familiar with supplier PPAP’s and procedures. Supports IATF16949 and ISO14001 initiatives. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred and three years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing facility. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Must possess strong math skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to apply common sense understanding to resolve conflicts and to hand issues involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
