Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a quality leader to develop and govern robust quality plans that harmonize manufacturing, customer, engineering, and supplier requirements, while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001. You will manage NCRs, drive Six Sigma and Lean improvements, train inspectors, coordinate audits, and monitor key KPIs.

Collaboration with manufacturing engineers and EH&S is essential for continual improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or quality field.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality standards and procedures.
• Strong knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
• Experience managing non-conformances (NCRs) and corrective actions.

Job Description

• Develop an improved quality plans to assure harmonized requirements of manufacturing processes, customers, engineering and suppliers.
• Ensure technical regulation and standards' requirements defined by engineering technical specifications/drawings.
• Base on drawings and specifications, determine key product characteristics required to measure and record in the quality plans. Work out new drawing data, dimensions and tolerances for process quality control (working together with manufacturing engineers).
• Determine the key product characteristics to be measured in the Quality Plan (with the help of the manufacturing engineers).
• Manage screening processes in Oracle ERP system.
• Develop personalized training program for quality inspectors (with per PQE's) to bring the individual up to speed with continued training as needed.
• Analyze customer complaints and professional support customer communication or visits. Initiate and coordinate corrective actions.
• Improve quality processes focusing on customer satisfaction and competence through six sigma and lean tools.
• Support SMART process at GEBM board including lean lines.
• Monitor, analyze and improve main quality KPIs (Cost of Quality, defect rate, process capability, number of NCRs, aging of NCRs, quality stops work, critical process audits). Initiate improvement action for relevant parts.
• Review and follow up NPI and generate improvements based on process capability.
• Participate in SMART quality meetings and evaluate NCRs further initiate corrective actions to together with manufacturing engineers (e.g. Poké-Yoke solutions).
• Define quality disciplinary scores, provide information for HR notifications if necessary, based on evaluated NCRs.
• Customer focus and product compliance.
• Further tasks not involved in this job description, that this manager assigns with verbal or written.
• Active participation on mandatory EHS trainings and events.
• Reporting:
• Non-conformance reporting regular GE MBA product meetings.
• Scrape reports on weekly basis.

Responsibility

• Responsible for handling customer claims, NCRs, SDRs, QSWs and audit findings.
• Immediately report the incidents and near misses to the direct reports and EH&S department.
• On L PB level manages daily to ensure compliance to HR regulations.
• Follow EHS rules and warn others.

Authority

• Prepare and actively participate on external audits, customer visits and provide solutions for deviations.
• Execute internal, work station or critical process audits and follow up non-conformities in GenSuite System.
• Disposition of non-conformances on NCRs and SDRs (where design engineering involved in non necessary).
• Immediately shut down operation when realized life or serious injury risk present.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus. This posting is expected to remain open for at least seven days after it was posted on September 02, 2026.
