Tundra Technical Solutions is hiring a Quality Engineer for a contract assignment in Hazelwood, MO. The role focuses on integrating Boeing Quality Management System requirements into proposals, plans, and production readiness for aerospace programs.

The ideal candidate has a engineering background, hands-on data analysis, RCCA experience, and familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems. Pay is hourly, with benefits available through the provider.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Engineering, CS, Engineering Technology, Math, Physics, Chemistry).
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience performing data analysis.
  • Experience with RCCA and Corrective Action.
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems.

This posting is for a contract assignment and is not a full-time employment offer with Boeing. Candidates selected for roles will be employed as contract workers through a Boeing approved 3rd party for the duration of the specified project.

Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides Quality interpretation of requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances. Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under general direction.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an Experienced Quality Engineer, with expertise in airplane subsystems, production readiness and fabrication. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient production of our world-class aerospace products, including advanced platforms for our Fighter Jet programs.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study

  • 1+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • 3+ years of experience performing data analysis
  • 1+ years of experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCCA) and Corrective Action
  • 1+ years of experience with quality systems (e.g., International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100), etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Aerospace experience
  • Experience in First Article Inspection
