Job summary

GTI Energy seeks a detail-oriented Quality Engineer to support and enhance the ISO 9001 QMS, driving product quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. You will apply risk-based thinking, lead RCCA, analyze data, and collaborate across functions to reduce risk and improve efficiency.

The role requires strong problem-solving, cross-functional coordination, and documentation skills, with opportunities to shape quality culture within a growing manufacturing organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or related industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience with RCCA methodologies and quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, 5 Why, Fishbone, and SPC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using quality metrics and data analysis.
  • Experience supporting audits, inspections, and nonconformance processes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality reporting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve production and quality processes using data-driven methodologies.
  • Develop dashboards, KPIs, and trend reports for management reviews.
  • Conduct risk assessments using PFMEA, control plans, and risk registers.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Plans and quality control strategies per customer/regulatory requirements.
  • Lead RCCA and verify effectiveness of solutions.
  • Support defect prevention via standardization, training, and process validation.
  • Perform inspections, testing, monitoring, and verification for product conformity.
  • Participate in MRB activities, nonconformance investigations, and rework verification.
  • Support internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain quality documentation and records for traceability and audits.
  • Escalate quality risks to leadership as needed.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Safety, and Programs to resolve issues.

Position Overview

GTI is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Quality Engineer to support and enhance our ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) while ensuring product quality, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving quality processes across manufacturing and production operations.

The Quality Engineer will apply risk-based thinking, lead Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCA), analyze quality data, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce risk, improve efficiency, and protect the GTI brand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and maintain the effectiveness of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve production and quality processes using data-driven methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and trend reports to support operational reviews and management reporting.
  • Conduct risk assessments using tools such as PFMEA, control plans, and risk registers.
  • Develop and maintain Quality Plans and quality control strategies based on customer and regulatory requirements.
