Job summary

US Farathane Corporation is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to develop, implement, maintain, and improve QA processes. You will leverage data analysis to enhance quality reporting and drive process improvements across APQP and PPAP programs.

Responsibilities include VOC testing, cross-functional team participation, and coordinating with customers on quality trends and corrective actions. The role emphasizes ISO/TS quality standards and practical problem solving in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality systems.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, QOS and 8D problem solving.
• Ability to perform Gage R&R and capability studies.

Responsibilities

Job description

This candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance processes. Throughout the implementation and maintenance process, this candidate should use data analysis to better understand quality reporting measures and improve processes.

Responsibilities/ Essential Functions

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

VOC:

• Ongoing testing of parts ( Functional, Dimensional, Physical properties, etc.)
• Create, update and maintain Quality Documentation, Customer Contact Reports, Customer Sort Reports, Information Relating to
• Serve as a focal point of contact for internal and external customers.
• Participate in / Initiate cross functional teams in the pursuit of effective problem solving and mistake proofing quality problems.
• Travel and provide support to customers to resolve problems.
• Participate and Improve in product development meetings to review engineering changes, manufacturing methods, planning and
• process specifications related with product quality.
• Coordinate with customers, related with the quality performance trends and corrective action.
• Communicate production and quality issues with employees and supervision when necessary.

APQP:

• Responsible for development and support of all APQP Documentation required for PPAP,etc.
• Responsible for development and support of all APQP Documentation required for PPAP, PSO ,etc.
• Responsible for the ECNs after SOP or programs in Production Phase.
• Prepare and submit APQP documentation.
• Support and work with Materials and Production departments to plan and perform Run@Rates
• Develop visual standards, system criteria, for use in manufacturing operations in a new launch and maintain for serial life products.
• Responsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality manual, associates handbooks, level II procedures, etc.)
• Perform other duties as requested by the Quality Manager and Corporate Quality
• Perform and maintain layered process audit system
• Create cell layouts, work instructions for new parts
• Responsible for participating in all customer quality audits (IATF, BIQS, etc.)
• Develop and maintain quality system for projects assigned.
• Lead and/or participate in implementation and discipline of SPC.
• Develop all quality related instruction sheets.
• Participate on 8D and Continuous Improvement teams, provide problem solving consultations as needed.
• Put PPAP Packages together for submission to customer.
• Responsible or resolution of customer issues for the project assigned.
• Provide leadership and guidance for quality personnel in the use of quality methods.
• Direct contact for all assigned customer base.
• Work with all customers for resolution of product quality issues.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Quality Manager.
• Report any unsafe conditions to your Supervisor.
• Continue training as required.
• Understands customer specific requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Supervisor to maintain and operate a safe, efficient and quality conscious operation.
