Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineering.
  • Deep expertise in creating FMEA process, Control Plan, and APQP.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
  • Able to manage time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Independent with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate quality checks into the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for assembly issues.
  • Optimize the End-of-Line process.
  • Create and maintain PFMEAs and control plans.
  • Analyze quality data to improve assembly and test processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve quality issues.
  • Contribute to the improvement of Quality Policy and Manual.

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is looking for a skilled Quality Engineer to join their team for a 6+ month engagement. This project involves ensuring that all processes conducted as part of the assembly, bring‑up, and End‑of‑Line (EOL) testing of vehicles meet high‑quality standards. This includes the development and implementation of In‑Line and End‑of‑Line quality checks, as well as driving the root‑cause resolution of any issues that occur during the manufacturing process. This is a high‑impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly. As part of a daily routine, the Manufacturing Process Quality Engineer will interact with many different parties including Corporate Quality, Vehicle Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Software.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
  • Quality Check Development & Integration: Development and integration of quality and functional checks into the manufacturing process.
  • Root‑Cause Analysis: Conduct root‑cause analysis for any assembly‑related issues.
  • End‑of‑Line Process Optimization: Development, implementation, and optimization of the End‑of‑Line process.
  • Process Documentation: Creating and maintaining of PFMEAs, and development and implementation of control plans.
  • Quality Data Analysis: Analysis of quality data to improve the assembly and test process.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work cross‑functionally to help resolve supplier quality or design‑related issues that occurred during the manufacturing process.
  • Quality System Alignment: Contribute to the definition and improvement of Quality Policy and Manual. Create the procedures, instructions, and processes that will allow us to align with the international standards for Quality Systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9000, and similar).
Required Skills & Experience
  • 8-10 years of experience in quality/manufacturing engineering.
  • Deep expertise in creating FMEA process / Control Plan / APQP. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
  • Engineering Bachelor's Degree in the respective field (Manufacturing, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial).
  • Able to work fully independent with minimal supervision.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience.
  • Process Improvement certification (Lean Six Sigma / Shainin).
  • CATIA V5/V6 experience.
