What we are looking for:
Grammer is looking for an Engineering Change Coordinator to join our location in Shannon, MS. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a team environment. This individual will have an opportunity to make lasting and positive changes in our team and the Americas Region!
What you will be doing:
- Responsible for the feasibility and management of engineering changes, ensuring costs, planning, and resources
- Ensure risks are considered and mitigated wherever possible throughout the entire process
- Develop continuous improvement initiatives in the processes for implementing engineering changes
- Support engineering change initiatives and proposals for cost savings
- Review and approval of circular data(s) for all series platforms
- Develop and implement corrective and/or preventive actions throughout the development of engineering changes
- Update the SAP system - Routings, WC, and CC for the platforms, using information shared by the engineering team
- Maintain the SAP system, focusing on Engineering-related activities (CC02/SCASE/WF/Investments/etc.)
- Meet with and coordinate with Project Managers, customers, Engineering team members, and other internal customers
- Escalate issues and necessary details to the appropriate leaders
- Implement Part History for all plant platforms
- Ensure that updating the Part History is a standard activity for series engineers with every engineering change
- Provide timely follow-up on engineering sample or prototype delivery dates for the entire department
- Active participation on the shop floor for platforms undergoing changes
- Responsible for 5S and controlling entries/exits from the engineering cage for samples and special materials related to ECMs
- Coordinate with engineering team and cross-functionally, as needed, to achieve effective management and closure of engineering changes
- Develop, continuously improve, and implement processes and procedures
- Create and update Variant Matrix and BOM in SAP, working files, and related systems
- Compliance with safety audits (hazard identification, risk assessment and control)
- Basic understanding of Grammer specific regulatory requirements
What you will bring along:
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering and/or related field preferred
- Automotive industry experience preferred, manufacturing experience required
- Extensive SAP experience preferred
- Effective cross-functional communication and information management
- Core Tools, FMEA, CP, APQP, PPAP, GD&T, blueprint and drawing interpretation.

- Experienced in successfully leading projects and managing resources
- Experience managing internal and external customer expectations
