Job summary

Innomotics is hiring a Quality Engineer to support motor manufacturing operations in Norwood, OH. You will drive resolution of quality issues, lead problem-solving, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to improve product quality and reduce NCC.

The role focuses on containment, corrective actions, and preventive measures, with emphasis on supplier quality and audits. Hybrid work schedule with travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including 1-2 years supplier quality.
• ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience with root cause analysis and methodologies, including 8D and 5 Whys.
• Knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans, FAI, CAPA, and process audits.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain FMEAs, Control Plans, and related quality documentation.
• Conduct supplier audits and implement risk mitigation plans.
• Track and analyze quality KPIs, including Cost of Non-Quality (NCC).
• Support supplier qualification, First Article Inspections (FAI), and new product introduction activities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and suppliers to drive continuous improvement.

Your Future Role

The Quality Engineer will support motor manufacturing operations by driving the resolution of quality-related issues, eliminating barriers to production, and leading structured problem‑solving initiatives. This individual contributor role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, and suppliers to improve product quality, reduce defects, enhance customer satisfaction, and lower the Cost of Non‑Quality (NCC).

This position supports the manufacturing of large industrial motors and drive systems in a highly engineered production environment, with responsibility for both internal manufacturing quality and supplier quality performance.

This position is based in the Norwood, OH facility and will work a hybrid schedule.

In This Role, You Will

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.


• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%, including occasional domestic and international travel.

The pay range for this position is $73,400 - $125,800. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
