Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Automotive industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with molding, assembly, or production processes.
• Experience with PFMEAs, control plans, and corrective actions.
• Proficient in 8D and 5-Why problem solving.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 and IATF 16949 systems.
• Ability to read drawings, specs, and GD&T.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

We’re seeking a Quality Engineer to improve product quality, support manufacturing performance, and drive corrective action across a production environment. This role is a strong fit for someone who can work closely with operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers to prevent defects and resolve quality issues at the root cause level.

Key Responsibilities

• Support quality planning, process validation, and production readiness for new and existing products.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured problem‑solving methods.
• Review nonconforming material, customer concerns, internal defects, and process issues to determine proper containment and resolution.
• Conduct process, product, and system audits to verify compliance with internal and external requirements.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier teams to improve yield, reduce defects, and maintain quality documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Automotive industry experience strongly preferred.
• Background supporting molding, assembly, or production‑based processes.
• Experience with PFMEAs, control plans, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
• Working knowledge of 8D and 5-Why problem‑solving methods.
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 and IATF 16949 quality management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical thinking, and follow‑through skills.
