Quality Engineer
Full Time Indirect Chandler, AZ, US
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with engineering and manufacturing personnel, develops and implements Quality Control processes and programs.
- Helps establish quality improvement goals and objectives that support company financial plans and customer requirements.
- Develops quality plans and documentation requirements, including the use of statistically valid sampling methods, to evaluate product at every stage of the manufacturing process.
- Provides training to manufacturing personnel in the use of statistical techniques.
- In conjunction with engineering and manufacturing personnel, develops inspection and testing methods, and interprets customer product evaluation requirements.
- Develops quality training material and conducts training as required.
- Evaluates and measures compliance to company, industry and customer quality requirements.
- Conducts internal and external quality audits.
- Assists in identifying and implementing cost effective, innovative technical solutions in the quality control field.
- Confers with management, customers and suppliers in planning, scheduling, coordinating and directing quality activities to ensure conformance to customer requirements and specifications.
- Supporting company policies, procedures, goals, objectives and goods manufacturing practices.
- Applies Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma tools to the production process.
- Performs root cause corrective action (RCCA) analysis in the disposition of non-conforming material.
- Support Manufacture engineer in Non-conform material disposition when is required. AS9100 knowledge and understanding.
- Participate in continues improvements events when is required.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience in a quality field, aerospace preferred
- Familiarity with ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality standards.
- Excellent knowledge of statistical techniques.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with APQP, and PPAP requirements.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Project – Minitab a plus.
- Must possess solid analytical skills in defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.

Environmental & Physical Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in a shop floor environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
