Job summary

PEAK Technical Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to liaison between the company and customers on quality issues.

You will support manufacturing and engineering to resolve product quality problems, implement improvements to processes, and ensure ISO standards compliance through internal audits and up-to-date procedures and forms. The role requires 3+ years in high-volume manufacturing and familiarity with 8D and IPC/J-STD-001 standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in a science or technical area/equivalent.
• 3+ years of industrial experience in high-volume manufacturing, automation and quality principles.
• Familiarity with 8D corrective action methodology and QMS standards.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced QUALITY ENGINEER to act as liaison between company and customer with respect to technical or quality related issues. They will provide manufacturing and engineering support to resolve product quality issues and help correct or suggest improvements to the manufacturing processes while using 8D corrective action methodology. They will provide support to the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with current ISO standards including internal audits, maintaining procedures and forms up to date, and monitoring risk matrix.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Hired candidate will have demonstrated the ability to handle and maintain multiple projects at once and respond quickly and decisively to production support requests.
• Will possess a working knowledge of industry standards ISO 9001:2015, IPC 600, IPC 610, J-STD-001, and is data driven to execute quality improvements and/or cost reductions.

Required Responsibilities:

Required Education:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in a science or technical area/equivalent.

Other Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of industrial experience, preferable in high volume manufacturing, automation and quality principles.
• Will occasionally/frequently: stand, walk, sit, use both hands, and carry/lift/push/pull to 25 lbs.
• We are ITAR Registered. Hired candidate must be a US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.
