Qualifications

  • BS in engineering or 2 years of equivalent manufacturing experience, preferably quality control/inspection.
  • Proficiency interpreting technical drawings/GD&T and using inspection tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with diligence and organization.
  • Experience with quality and statistical analysis tools (Minitab, Excel).

Responsibilities

Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Quality Engineer at MKS who can collaborate with groups throughout MKS to creatively identify and solve challenges in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You would work on diverse and changing projects in a fast-paced environment, as an enthusiastic team player.

You Will Make an Impact By: Work closely with diverse groups to ensure product conformity and resolve quality issues. Lead problem solving teams to identify root cases and drive corrective actions. Perform Process Audits to ensure conformity to requirements and procedures. Coordinates MRB and calibration programs. Create documentation for best practice mechanical inspection methods and QA department processes. Perform analysis and identify trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed.

Skills You Bring:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree or 2 years of equivalent experience in manufacturing operations (preferably quality control / inspection) Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings / GD&T and using a wide range of mechanical inspection tools and methods. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; diligent and organized Experience with Quality and statical analysis tool (mini tab, excel etc)

Preferred Skills:

2+ years of related quality experience with knowledge of mechanical inspection of machined and/or welded parts

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
  • Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
  • Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
  • Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time

  • Operates in a professional office, laboratory and manufacturing environment

  • Dedication to safety to mitigate hazards, including handling mechanical and electrical hardware, high voltage, gas, water, and heat
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually average
Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Pay Range: $60,200 to $111,800 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
