Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Andover, MA is seeking a Production Tech 2 for the Pressure & VM Solutions group.

You will set up, calibrate, test and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies, reading blueprints and diagrams to develop test specs. The role requires 1+ year related experience, an associate degree or vocational training, soldering and measurement skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree, military technical training or their equivalent vocational training is required.
  • 1+ year of related experience.
  • May require experience in testing digital and/or analog systems.
  • Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

At MKS: As a Production Tech 2 at Pressure & VM Solutions, you will partner with Andover Production. In this role, you will report to the Supervisor. You Will Make an Impact By: Responsible for the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing Requires soldering skills and possibly mechanical aptitude skills As required, prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $18.89 - 31.40 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
