Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Bowling Green, Ohio team onsite. You will develop and maintain QA processes, monitor production, and drive CAPA and continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality standards and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in quality engineering, familiarity with FMEA/SPC/PPAP, and experience with 8D/5 Whys for root-cause analysis, ensuring compliance with IATF-16949, ISO-9001, ISO-14001.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in quality engineering
• Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, PPAP, etc).
• Experience with root cause analysis techniques (8D, 5 Whys, etc).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and control processes.
• Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Design and execute testing procedures and validation protocols.
• Conduct internal audits and support external audits (customer, regulatory, ISO, etc.).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, supply chain) to resolve quality issues.
• Analyze quality data and generate reports with actionable insights.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, and changes to identify potential quality risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards (IATF-16949, ISO-9001, and ISO-14001)
• Train staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
• All other duties as assigned.
