Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in quality assurance or engineering leadership.
  • ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 knowledge with audits experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee quality systems in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
  • Ensure robust quality planning during launches and engineering changes.
  • Lead investigations of non-conformances using 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions on schedule.
  • Coordinate APQP deliverables including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness.
  • Monitor KPIs (scrap, customer complaints, audits).
  • Lead continuous improvement and mentor Quality Engineers and Technicians.

Job description

Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving two primary markets – passenger vehicle and commercial truck equipment – Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee quality systems and documentation in alignment with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Ensure robust quality planning during product launches and engineering changes.
  • Lead complex investigations into product and process non-conformances using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys).
  • Ensure timely and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate and execute APQP deliverables including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP submissions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product and process readiness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as scrap rates, customer complaints, and audit findings.
  • Use statistical analysis to identify trends and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to Quality Engineers and Technicians.
  • Support training initiatives and promote a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of applicable experience
  • 7+ years of experience
Skills
  • Advanced proficiency in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, with experience in leading audits, managing compliance, and driving quality assurance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions using structured methodologies such as 8D, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated success in mentoring team members, driving process improvements, and fostering a culture of quality excellence.
