Job summary

Dana Canada Corp. is seeking a quality inspector to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards across incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.

You will document results, identify non-conformances, and communicate findings to relevant teams to support product quality and process improvements. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of experience, knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, and proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Qualifications

Job Purpose

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Accurately record inspection results, non-conformances, and test data. Prepare reports for internal use and communicate findings to relevant departments.
• Assist in investigating quality issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
• Operate and maintain precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other testing equipment.
• Ensure calibration and proper usage to maintain accuracy.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and performing audit-related tasks.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency.

Education and Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Trade School, or Associate’s Degree
• 4+ years of experience

Skills

• Strong working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949), inspection techniques, and precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Familiarity with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement methodologies is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to identify defects, analyze data, and support resolution of quality issues.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to ensure product compliance and support process improvements.
